We’re delighted to share with you the exciting news that our Chief Designer, Chuck Nickles, and Principal Performing Artist Will Druiett, will be touring the West Coast of America next month; delivering Masterclasses, recitals, and giving enthusiastic musicians just like you the opportunity to play test some of our most popular brass instruments.
Taking place between 4th and 19th November, Chuck and Will’s aptly-named West Coast Tour will see the duo appear at at least 4 locations across the West Coast of America, starting in California and ending in Oregon.
University of Southern California, 4th November
Chuck and Will are heading first to California, where Will is set to give a recital at the University of Southern California (USC) on 4th November
From 7.30 - 10pm, Chuck and Will will be in the Ramo Recital Hall, where guests will also be able to play test some of our Tubas.
During his recital, Will is going to be performing on the British F Tuba, BBb 6/4 Rotary Tuba ‘Kaiser’, and the brand new F Tuba.
Ohlone College, 9th November
Following USC, Chuck and Will are set to appear at Ohlone College on 9th November, Smith Center, between 10am & 12pm.
Here, Will is delivering a masterclass and there will be an opportunity for attendees to play test some of our instruments.
During the masterclass, Will will also be performing 1 piece of music.
ocTUBAfest, 15th & 16th November
From 7.30pm on November 15th and 10am on 16th November, Will and Chuck will be attending ocTUBAfest at the University of Oregon School of Music & Dance, where Will is performing with the University’s Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble.
Following this performance on 15th, Will will be delivering a masterclass on the morning of the 16th, where there will also be ample opportunity to play test a selection of our brass instruments.
Oregon State University, 19th November
Chuck and Will’s packed West Coast tour will end with a visit to Oregon State University, where Will is delivering another masterclass and guests are invited to play test some popular Wessex Tubas brass instruments.
